FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW DO I BOOK MY COURSE?
To book your course you need to complete the online registration form, and we will contact you as soon as possible. Please note that reservations and correspondence are online, we have a postal address in Cancun, but we do not provide information there, this is mainly for mailing, information can be provided online or by calling us. The courses start EVERY MONDAY. We meet every Monday at a meeting point, generally: Starbucks Plaza Outlet. We can also meet at other Starbucks locations or private classes at home, depending on the needs of our students, we will confirm by email one week before your course.
WHAT'S IS THE TEACHING METHODOLOGY?
From our experience and through constant updates, we know that the best way to teach a language is through action, communicative approach and clear grammar bases, in such a way that the student from the first day of classes can use what they have learned in class.
Our Spanish teaching method follows the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
WHERE ARE THE CLASSES HELD?
We know that students want to learn through ‘experiences’, so our lessons take place outside the box. Students will learn Spanish in local cafés (Starbucks), in a total immersion experience.

HOW IS MY SPANISH LEVEL DETERMINED?
Before your arrival, we will send you a Level Test, in case you are a complete beginner, you will only be asked for basic contact information.
DO I NEED A SPECIAL VISA TO BOOK A COURSE?
No, you can take our Spanish courses as a tourist or normal visitor. No special permit is required.
Oh, but don’t forget to make sure your passport doesn’t expire soon!
WHAT TEXTBOOKS ARE USED?
We have a varied exercises and support materials and the student will work with the Aula Latina Book, with which we make sure that we are using relevant and updated material. You will receive your textbook on the first day of school.

Approximate cost of text book: 50 USD
The Latin Classroom Book is a different way of approaching grammar through practical very visual schemes and with a minimum of explanation so that understanding is immediate.
IS THERE ANY AGE LIMIT FOR JOINING OUR COURSES?
In regular courses the average age is 20 – 45. In fact, we have programs that span very broad age ranges. So far we have welcomed adult students from 19 to 80 years old. It’s always a good time to learn Spanish!
In case, if you are with a family your family can book a course altogether or join different levels, please contact us.
CAN I TAKE PRIVATE CLASSES?
Of course! In addition to group courses, Spanish in Cancun offers semi-private and individual Spanish classes for all levels. The contents, times and start dates of these classes can be arranged to suit your individual needs.
The price is per class, (two hours) we have packages available from five or more classes.
Semi-private or private classes are a very effective way to achieve maximum progress in your Spanish skills in a limited time.
WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF STUDENTS PER CLASS?
For group courses, we guarantee that you will never have a group of more than 4 students. Classes are generally smaller, but vary by course and time of year.
WHAT DO YOU DO ON THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS?
The teacher assigned to your classes will welcome you and explain the dynamics of the class, the assignment of homework and the break time.
At the end of the class you will have new information to apply in real situations and that how practice your Spanish!
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK? HOW MANY WEEKS DO YOU RECOMMEND?
We recommend you book at least 4 weeks before, in order to organize your classes and the other services you require.
Each level would require 4 weeks to complete. You can take a course with us from 1 week, but we usually recommend a minimum of 2 and 4 or more weeks would be ideal.
DO YOU OFFER OTHER SERVICES?
You have just arrived in a new city, we know it is an exciting time, but we also know that you may feel a bit unsure what to do. Don’t worry, we can offer you transportation services to the airport, different accommodation options for you, amazing tours, etc.
